Part Time/Event Receptionist - Pacers Sports & Entertainment (Indianapolis, IN)

SUMMARY:

This position handles incoming calls on the switchboard, answers questions and/or forwards calls to the appropriate department or individual. This position will also receive/greet visitors and perform light typing and other miscellaneous clerical duties.. Excellent communication skills and professionalism required as well as the desire to go above and beyond for our guests to deliver an optimum experience. Flexibility to work events during the evening and weekend; some daytime hours also available periodically.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Answer switchboard during events, respond to callers’ requests and refer callers to appropriate employee if necessary.

  2. Receive visitors to administrative office during events, provide information, determine nature of complaints, resolve complaints and refer to the appropriate employee.

  3. Perform light typing of routine memos.

  4. Must have excellent communication skills, professional demeanor and strong customer service presence when dealing with callers, visitors and employees.

  5. Must have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

  6. Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or equivalent.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Excellent verbal communication skills required.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports.  Ability to write reports and correspondences.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Manager, Clients, Customers, and the general public.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret directions.
